This project allows to introduce into the practice of SSTU a Grid-node, which makes it possible to solve very difficult tasks with a high computational complexity and, also, to realize a new distant education project. In that way it can simplify the task solving, if it is necessary to solve the tasks, which require a high computational power. The distant education system, which we have been created, is a cross-platform system, in which the MS Share Point Learning Kit 1.2 plays a very important role in combining of the educational course. The Our Grid software makes it easier to solve very difficult computational tasks, proposed by the educational course program.

The learning environment allows to encapsulate into the course program the specially developed courses and to get a remote access to the educational resources and to the standard facilities of testing the students. Grid computations are used for those parts of the task, which require the highest computational power. The pilot version of the project realizes two educational courses:

  • Programming technology
  • Development of robots-manipulators

The special course of Grid Computations was developed in the framework of the project. It was introduced into the practice along with appropriate methodical instructions.
